The
Mosquito 'Cognito® dispenser emits
ConcealTM inhibitor which has a
unique 'scent blocking' ability that is a more effective and environmentally
friendly way to keep biting insects away than traditional Citronella
and pesticide sprays. In combination with Dragonfly, it offers the
most cost effective and efficient system on the market.
Conceal(TM) Inhibitor
Conceal is an inhibitor, not a repellent. Repellents smell bad. Mosquitoes
avoid them and find someone who smells better. That's who they bite.
But a mosquito with a nose-full of Conceal has difficulty smelling
anyone, so they don't go looking for other victims.
In USDA forced-choice olfactometer tests, all mosquitoes picked up
the scent of a human hand and left the holding chamber. About 30%
of mosquitoes went to a chamber baited with a hand protected by Deet,
and the remaining 70% went to the chamber with an unprotected hand.

In trials with Conceal, 30% to 40% of mosquitoes could not pick up
any scent and never left the holding chamber. About 15% of mosquitoes
went to the chamber baited with a human hand protected by Conceal,
and the remaining 45% to 55% went to the chamber with an unprotected
human hand.
Conceal protects animals too. Want proof? The United States Equestrian
Team used Conceal to protect a stable of million-dollar horses for
the Olympic Team in the midst of the New Jersey West Nile Virus scare
in the summer of 2000.
